PRESS AND ACCREDITATION
Accreditation
On-line accreditation is closed. Press representatives who wish to register can send an e-mail, up to April 16 – 14:00 hrs, to press_support@g8agri.it. They will be forwarded a registration form to be filled in and sent back by mail.
After the above mentioned deadline registration will be possible only on-site. Please remember that a letter of presentation by your publication.
ID badges may be collected upon arrival at the press welcome desk at CastelBrando and must be visible at all times.
The ID badges are only valid for the person to whom they have been issued and should not be transferred or lent to any other person. Lost badges should be reported immediately to the welcome desk.
The badge colour code for the press is yellow. Yellow badges allow access to the press centre and the Presidency’s Press Conference room. The media allowed to have the roundtable coverage will receive a special pass.
Those who need a Visa to enter Italy are asked to present their requests at the Embassy or the Italian Consulate in their Country, presenting, aside from the necessary documentation, also the paper receipt of the online accreditation request.
ARRIVAL AT CISON DI VALMARINO
Media representatives arriving at Venice/Treviso airport are kindly requested to show-up at the G8 Agricultural welcome desk in the arrival area of the airport in order to have information on the shuttle bus that will take them to the hotel where journalists will be staying.
The shuttle’s time table will be published on this web-site in due time.
ACCOMMODATION
The Italian Presidency has provisionally reserved rooms nearby Treviso and kindly invites all media representatives to book their accommodation forwarding the request to press_support@g8agri.it in order to:
• obtain the special negotiated hotel rates
• have the possibility of being transferred to the Summit Venue free of charge.
Journey time between the official hotel and the Summit Venue is approximately 40’. Taxis are available on call, average rate € 50,00.
Media representative staying at hotels other than the official one are responsible for arranging their own accommodation and transport.
PROGRAMME
The Press Centre set-up at Castelbrando will be open from Friday 17th April, 12:00 hrs, to Monday 20th April, 17:00 hrs.
The Final joint Press Conference is scheduled on Monday 20th April, 12:00 hrs.
On Saturday 18th , Sunday 19th and Monday 20th a transfer between the hotel reserved for G8 journalist and hotel Castelbrando, Meeting Venue, will be available. The time-table will be published on this web-site in due time.
On Sunday April 19th the Marca Trevigiana is pleased to invite Press Representatives to join one of the 4 enogastronomic tours leaving from Basso Hotel at 13:30 hrs. Each tour will include a visit to a wine cellar or farm with a light buffet offered by the owner, a visit to a company representing the local industry, a cultural visit and a dinner in a local restaurant.
Here are the four tours:
1. Opitergino Mottense, Piave Valley
2. Montebelluna/Asolani hills, among mild landscapes and local industries known in the whole world
3. Among the Altamarca hills and colours of Giambattista Cima
4. Among the sites of Giorgione’s work
